is more than just a slogan—it is the guiding principle behind everything we do.

Proud of our Roots

We are proud of our roots, which trace back to 1979 and the establishment of a small group practice that served the primary care needs of the region's emerging immigrant communities. Today, Elica stands as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a designation given by the Federal government to community-based clinics that meet a rigorous set of requirements.

Our Mission

We provide quality, affordable health care through the operation of professional and compassionate health homes for underserved populations, who are confronted with barriers to accessing care.

Patients First

Elica is a network of 11 health center facilities located in both Sacramento County and Yolo County, which collectively provide services to nearly 50,000 patients as of 2022.

Approximately 10% of Elica's patients receive care outside clinic facilities through the Health On Wheels initiative, which including Mobile Medicine and Street Medicine.

In 2023, Elica opened a community closet and food pantry as part of the Elica Resource Center.
