Benefits
We are pleased to offer both Anthem Blue Cross PPO and Kaiser HMO plans for eligible employees and their dependents. Elica contracts with Benefits Resources Inc.* to pay the employee portion of in-network covered medical expenses resulting in $0 copay and $0 deductible for in-network expenses for both Anthem and Kaiser** plans.
Employees enrolled in medical insurance with Elica will also receive Chiropractic coverage. Your copay is $0 for in-network providers.
*Benefits Resources Inc is a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) wrap-around plan.
**For Kaiser, there is a $1,050 for Individual/$2,100 for Family out of pocket amount that is not covered by the Benefits Resources Inc. contrac
We offer dental insurance through Kansas City Life Insurance to eligible employees and their dependents. Preventive care is covered at 100%, basic care is covered at 80%, and major care is covered at 60% up to a maximum annual benefit of $2,000. Our dental insurance plan covers orthodontia at 50% up to a $2,000 lifetime maximum.
Elica employees who have dental coverage with Kansas City Life are eligible to receive services from Elica’s dental centers, for which Elica will cover copays and deductible costs. Elica employee dependents are not eligible for this additional benefit.
Kansas City Life also offers a Dental Reserve Account. You can roll up to $500 of leftover maximum funds into that account per year, with a total of $1,000 allowed in that account. These reserves can be used in any subsequent year to help cover more dental expenses.
We offer broad vision insurance coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP), which covers an annual exam, lenses, frames and contact lenses.
Chiropractic/ Acupuncture
Employees enrolled in medical insurance with Elica will also receive thirty (30) visits a year for Landmark Healthplan providers. Your copay is $0 for in-network providers.
Eligible employees begin accruing vacation on date of hire, and may take earned vacation after completion of 180-days’ service. Most employees accrue three (3) weeks of vacation per year beginning at date of hire, which increases to four (4) weeks per year upon completion of five (5) years’ service. Medical and Dental providers accrue four (4) weeks of vacation beginning on date of hire, which increases to five (5) weeks of vacation after completion of 5 years’ service.
Eligible employees receive eight (8) paid holidays per year, including a floating holiday which must be used within the same calendar year
All regular full-time, regular part-time, and temporary employees receive the equivalent of five (5) paid sick leave days per year. Eligible employees may take sick time after completion of 90 days of service.
Elica employees who have worked a minimum of twelve months may apply for tuition reimbursement up to a maximum of $3,000 per year; education must be related to the employee’s job and/or Elica’s mission. Applications must have prior approval. Reimbursement is provided when the employee achieves an “A” or “B” grade and submits all required documentation.
This is a tax-deferred retirement savings plan that helps Elica employees build savings for their retirement. We offer both pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) deductions which allows for savings on taxes now and in the future. Employees are eligible after 6 months of employment.
Elica also offers company matching up to 4%. The employer match is 100% vested starting from the first contribution. That means there is no vesting schedule!
Many investment options are available through the plan.
Healthcare FSAs are a great way to deduct pre-tax income to pay out-of-pocket expenses for out-of-network healthcare, dental and vision expenses. Employees may rollover up to $640 into 2025; all other funds deducted will be lost if not used during the calendar year.
Elica provides eligible employees one times their annual salary on Term Life and AD&D coverage at no cost. Employees may opt to purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their dependents.
Elica provides an EAP to eligible employees. This is a confidential service including three (3) free counseling sessions, family caregiving services, legal services, financial services, convenience services, and a plethora of online tools and information..
