On March 14th, Elica Health Centers participated in St. Hope’s Public School Health Fair, located at Sacramento High School. Elica’s Dental team was there to provide knowledge about Elica’s dental and medical services. We informed students and families about how Elica works, the services we provide, and where we are located.
During the event, as students approached the Elica table, our Registered Dental Assistant, Saddif, was helping students learn the proper way of flossing teeth. She taught them with an activity using play dough, yarn, and a kid’s block toy. Did you know that the proper way to floss teeth is to hug each tooth, making a C-shape with the floss and then flossing up and down?
As attendees approached our table, one of the most asked questions of the evening was how much it cost to be seen at Elica and if insurance is required to be serviced. Elica has a sliding fee discount program based on income and insurance is not required to be seen at any of our locations.
Thank you to our team for representing Elica at Sacramento High School, Elica aims to be part of the Sacramento community by providing services with our guiding principle, “Healing with Heart”.
