Testing the Homeless Population for COVID-19

During this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Elica Health Centers is testing the homeless population of Sacramento County to ensure that this vulnerable population is being taken care of and reducing exposure.

Velena Jones, reporter at CBS13, met with Elica Health Centers at Capitol Park Hotel, which is a temporary homeless shelter, on 9th and L Street. We are testing the homeless residents of various shelters for free and within the first three days, we tested over 100 shelter residents. We began testing this Monday, April 25 and will continue to do so during this pandemic.
