dental services

Patients, starting on Tuesday, September 7 and until further notice, Elica Health Centers will temporarily close two dental clinics: Arden Arcade and Marysville. Primary medical care will still be available at both clinics.

With this change, dental services will still be available at the following clinics: Halyard in West Sacramento, Franklin in South Sacramento, J St in Midtown, Cadillac Drive near Sacramento State, and North Highlands on Watt Avenue. Our Mobile Clinic HOW-4 will also provide dental services at scheduled site visits.

North Highlands: Our newest and biggest clinic. This dental clinic has 18 chairs ready to serve you and your family.

Franklin: Dental services began this year in May. We expanded our Franklin site to better serve the South Sacramento community.

Cadillac Drive: Our pediatrics-focused clinic is a one of a kind and first-ever for Elica! We are excited to serve children of all sizes and backgrounds.

Yellow walls, purple walls, and purple chairs. These are some of the views at Halyard, one of Elica’s clinics that opened in 2018, and the only clinic with Dental services in West Sacramento.

As our clinics grow, so do our services and staff members. Did you know that we have a hygienist?

In the first month of 2019, Saddif Shah began working at Elica as a Dental Assistant, her first time working at an FQHC. She says, “It has been a great learning experience.”

When she obtained her Registered Dental Assistant license, it made her more motivated to get into the dental field as her career, helping patients lead healthier lives by educating them on the importance of oral health. Saddif says, “I knew that when I became a Dental Hygienist, I would make a difference in many lives.”

And so she did! Saddif attended San Joaquin Valley College in the city of Visalia where she was enrolled in SJVC’s Dental Hygiene program. After graduating, Saddif took her board exams, passed, and came back to Elica as the first ever hygienist!

Saddif would like to thank Elica for making her a part of the team and believing in her since the day she got hired as a Registered Dental Assistant till she became a Registered Dental Hygienist. She promises to not let any of her patients down and provide the best quality care at Elica. Her goal? She wants to bring smiles into everyone’s lives and change their oral health.

“The most rewarding aspect thus far has been interacting with various patients. Just knowing that I make a difference in my patient’s lives is the best feeling.” – Saddif Shah, RDH

Saddif is professional, attentive, and communicates with her patients every step of the way. She makes sure they are comfortable and that their needs are met in a timely manner. In other words, Saddif is careful and successful when it comes to developing a good and trusting relationship with her patients.

She commends the teamwork at Elica. She credits all the staff members of Elica who run the team smoothly and share the same goal of ensuring patients pursue healthier choices to maintain their overall oral health. “To me, it’s all about the teamwork and at the end of the day, leaving the workplace with the satisfaction that we have brought smiles to our patients’ lives makes a big difference.”

What Saddif likes the most is that Elica is able to provide the same quality of service that one would get in any private practice. She states, “Elica is a company with so much potential to go far and be the change in our community for the people in need.”

Thank you, Saddif, for doing what you do at Elica. We are lucky to have you as our first hygienist. You’re making history and changing the lives our patients, one smile at a time. Thank you for being a stellar example of our mission, “Healing with Heart.”

Thank you to our patient, Jeffrey, for participating in these photos. Thank you for choosing Elica.
