WHO: Women needing screenings for breast and cervical cancer
WHAT: Mammograms and Pap Tests
WHEN: Friday, September 15, 2017 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
WHERE: Elica Health Centers, 1750 Wright Street, Sacramento, CA 95825
In an effort to raise awareness and encourage testing for cancers that effect women, namely breast and cervical, Elica Health Centers will be providing cancer screenings, including PAP Tests and Mammograms, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017.
Current guidelines suggest screening for cervical cancer every 3 years for women ages 21-65. Breast self-examinations for detection of breast cancer is easy and an inexpensive way to detect some tumors, but for women ages 45-74, mammograms are recommended about every two years. However, it is always best to talk with your health care provider.
Elica is actively scheduling its current patients, most of whom are Medi-Cal recipients, to be screened on September 15th and will happily schedule anyone else who needs to be screened, whether they are on Medi-Cal or have some other form of health insurance. Those who are uninsured may qualify for a Discounted Fee Program that can result in a nominal fee of just $20.00.
Those who are not currently Elica patients can call (855) 354-2242 for more information about scheduling a screening appointment at the Women’s Health event.
