We are pleased to welcome Tatyana Bak as our new (Acting) CEO. Appointed by Elica’s Board of Directors in Early October, Tatyana is no stranger to Elica. Over the past nearly 20 years, she has served the organization in several capacities, including as a consultant on special projects, Director of Business Development, and for several years as Chief Operations Officer.
Tatyana’s extensive experience with and understanding of Elica’s role as a federally qualified health center, along with her deep connections to the communities we serve, are exactly what is needed as we continue to grow and adapt to the changing healthcare landscape, while remaining true to our core mission and commitments as a community-based health center.
Other ongoing changes designed to improve Elica’s quality of care and increase our capacity to address the needs of our target population throughout the Sacramento region include:
- Implementation of a new, more efficient Electronic Health Records system
- Adoption of a unique affiliation agreement with UC Davis Health designed to benefit the region’s Medi-Cal recipients
- Purchase of two new, larger facilites, including one in Midtown Sacramento and another in West Sacramento, the latter of which is scheduled to open by year’s end.
- Addition of a second mobile clinic to our Health on Wheels (HOW) program, which will allow us to serve more of those who experience barriers to accessing care, such as low-income K-12 students and the area’s unsheltered population
These changes are all moving ahead according to plan, and reflect the kinds of activities that Elica intends to pursue, now and in the future.
Regarded for its commitment to the communities it serves, the patients it helps and those who staff its clinics and offices, Elica Health Centers is a dynamic organization that finds continuity through a belief in the maxim “Healing with Heart.”
Stay tuned to ElicaBlog for news of other exciting new developments as they happen.
