On January 23rd, Elica Health Centers held a grand opening for our Halyard location in West Sacramento. During the event, a letter was presented from one of Matsui’s representatives. Here is the letter for viewing.
Thank you, Congresswoman Doris, for your kind words about Elica. We will continue to serve the Sacramento community with the commitment to "Healing with Heart".
Happy New Year! 2019 has arrived and a new year calls for a moment to reflect and review the previous year. At Elica, there are some moments and changes we’d like to share with you.
In 2018, David Hughes joined Elica as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Finance Officer (CFO). David is a healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience in developing, growing, and aligning community health centers (CHC). Prior to arriving at Elica, David was an independent contractor providing support to more than one-third of the CHC’s in Wisconsin, participating in strategic planning, performing financial and operational assessments, preparing budgets and cost reports, and conducting mock HRSA site visits. It is our pleasure to have David join Elica.
It is also our pleasure to announce that Scott Needle, MD, has joined us as our new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Scott is a practicing community pediatrician who has been practicing for more than 20 years. He received his M.D. degree from John Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed pediatric internship and residency at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Needle worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center beforehand in Naples, Florida.
“Working for a Federally Qualified Health Center is a privilege and a challenge. We have a calling to make a difference in the lives of some of the most underserved members of the community. It’s up to all of us to rise to that challenge and figure out new and innovative ways to meet their needs. I think Elica has the resources, the mission, and— most importantly— the caring people to make this happen for Sacramento.
I look forward to working with everyone, and I’m optimistic we’ll achieve great things together.”
– Scott Needle, MD.
Also, Elica expanded with the addition of two new sites, the Halyard clinic and Watt Ave clinic. Elica now has a total of 11 clinics including our Health on Wheels mobile clinic.
Last but not least, our hours will be changing for 5 locations. Wright Street, North Ave, Franklin Blvd, V Street, and Revere Street will be extending their hours to better serve our patients.
Here are the new hours for the 5 specific locations:
While there have been some new changes, we will continue to serve the Sacramento community with our guiding principle, “Healing with Heart.”
Thank you for choosing Elica. Stay tuned for future posts.
